Protec 6000PLUS/OPHT/SL Optical Smoke & Heat Multisensor With Sounder & LED Beacon

The Protec 6000PLUS/OPHT/SL is an interactive addressable high performance optical smoke and heat multi-sensor. The dual technology multi-criteria fire detector uses detection of smoke by scattering of infra-red within the optical chamber coupled with thermal enhancement of optical sensitivity, as well as providing temperature detection equivalent of grade A2. The smoke and heat channels can be controlled independently for day / night operation with intelligent data being evaluated by the Protec Algo-Tec 6000 interactive programmable algorithms.

These sensors reach across the range of fire products from large visible particles from smoldering fires to open flaming fires producing very hot smaller particles and are therefore suitable for use in all smoke detection applications. The environmental conditioning algorithms can be selected to filter unwanted alarms and enhance performance.

The Protec Algo-Tec 6000PLUS/OPHT/SL sensor is equipped with an integrated loop powered electronic sounder with three programmable sounder tone options, constant, pulse or warble selectable by the control panel alone with adjustable volume control. A loop short circuit isolator is also incorporated within the heat. The sensor sounder tones are compatible with the full range of Protec 6000 electronic sounders.

Compliance with DDA legislation is assisted by the addition of the Protec high intensity LED beacon to warn those with hearing impairments or in noisy environments. The beacon utilizes a high intensity LED with low power consumption and increased reliability when compared to alternative indicators. The beacon is located in the center of the sensor, so can be viewed from all angles.
