The Firechief FDW1 is a sound activated door mounted door retainer unit. This device is designed to be installed directly onto fire doors and will hold the door open during normal day to day activities, and release when the fire alarm system is activated.

The unit can be programmed to learn the sound of the fire alarm system using a quick and easy setup procedure, using the LCD screen.
