EDA-R2030 Electro Detectors Zerio Radio Wireless Optical Smoke Detector Combined with Sounder Beacon
PLEASE NOTE : This unit is now obsolete and no longer in production. The manufacturer recommend using the EDA-R430 version as a replacement.
The combined sounder detector has been further refined to add a flashing beacon to the unit. Capable of running on the Zerio Radio / Wireless Fire Alarm Systems, the new device increases the flexibility of any system especially where designers are working with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
The combined sounder detector and beacon shares a common fixing and is interchangeable with the existing Zerio detectors. With Electro-Detectors strong 'no obsolescence' policy, the unit will even operate with Zerio systems installed twenty years ago.
The unit, housed in an attractive moulding, contains a powerful processor and utilizes surface mount technology to achieve the ultimate in performance and reliability. It incorporates a high output sounder, switch mode power supply and a sensitive narrow band FM receiver. The LED beacon uses revolutionary technology to deliver the required high power and when coupled with the purpose-designed beam-spreading lens, this achieves a intense illumination at all viewing angles, without significantly affecting the battery life.
The unit is fully configurable and is capable, like the standard sounder models, of being programmed into 255 individually controlled areas. In its default setting, both the sounder and beacon operate simultanously. However with the systems extensive cause and effects each function can be controlled individually.
The combined sounder detector and beacon is programmed with a unique serial number and stores its length of time in service in its non-volatile memory together with over fifty other settings and information. It is designed to comply with all appropriate sections of EN54.
