55000-600 Apollo Detector XP95 Analogue Addressable Optical Smoke Detctor
Apollo XP95 analogue addressable optical smoke detectors offer several key benefits over it's conventional detector counterpart. The Apollo XP95 analogue addressable optical smoke detectors are much more false alarm resistant. This is because the chamber inside the detector is constantly being monitored, if the detector starts to become contaminated the detector will send a pre-alarm warning to the fire alarm control panel. This means that the detector can be attended to and cleaned or replaced before the fire alarm system goes into a full alarm state due to a contaminated detector. Conventional type smoke detectors do not give this facility.
Apollo XP95 analogue addressable optical smoke detector can also be assigned location text within the control panel. This is especially useful when responding to a fire activation on the fire alarm system. The reason that this feature is so useful is because it gives a full location description of the detector at the control panel position. This massively speeds up the time taken to locate where the fire alarm activation has occured. Whereas conventional fire alarm detectors would only give a zone number where the fire alarm activation has occured, meaning that the detector could be any one of upto 20 detectors.
Communications of the 55000-600 Apollo XP95 Smoke Detector
Each 55000-600 Apollo XP95 Smoke Detector responds to interrogation and command from the main fire alarm control panel. The 55000-600 Apollo XP95 Smoke Detector communicates to the panel information on its status, command bits, type, location, and other information that allows an alarm to be raised even when the 55000-600 Apollo XP95 Smoke Detector is not itself being interrogated. Message error checking is also provided. The devices are compatible with Series 90 systems and control equipment to aid maintenance, extension and upgrade of existing systems.
Addressing a 55000-600 Apollo XP95 Smoke Detector
The 55000-600 Apollo XP95 Smoke detector uses the Apollo addressing method which provides simple, user friendly and accurate identification of the 55000-600 Apollo XP95 Smoke Detector location. A coded Apollo XP95 XPERT card is inserted in the apollo xp95 detector base. This can then be read by the 55000-600 Apollo XP95 smoke detector once it is plugged in. Using this method, all the electronic components are in the Apollo XP95 smoke detector but the location information is held in the base. The Apollo XP95 XPERT card simplifies and speeds up installation and commissioning. Addressing errors during maintenance and service are eliminated.
