Notifier PS2/CMX PS2/701 Sounder Controller Interface Now Obsolete
Notifier PS2/CMX & PS2/701 Sounder Controller Interface Now Obsolete
Notifier Fire Systems have announced that the PS2/CMX and PS2/701 Sounder Circuit Controller Interfaces are now obsolete due to them not complying with current standards within the UK.
In order to connect conventional sounder circuits to a Notifier Analogue Addressable Fire Alarm System the recommended method to do this is now to use an EN54 compliant psu from the Notifier Power Supply from their range to power the sounder circuits and connect the conventional sounder circuits through 2 No. Notifier M701 Single Output Interface Modules which would be on the loop circuit of the Notifier Fire Alarm System.
Using this method would ensure that the sounder circuits are monitored via the M701, which would then indicate a fault on the main Notifier Fire Alarm Panel.
