A BS5839 Grade A LD2 Fire Alarm System are usually requested in buildings of 3 storeys and over in size.  The fire alarm system would require a main fire alarm control panel to monitor and control the devices on the system which is installed to the requirements of BS5839 part 1.  The positioning of the devices on the system within the building should include alarm devices in all circulation spaces that form part of escape routes and rooms or areas that present a high fire risk.
