Apollo Fire Detectors have recently announced that four new visual alarm devices (VADs) are now available for sale.

The four devices have been created by Apollo's specialised in-house design team, with a C-3-8.5 available in the ceiling category and a W-2.5-7 available in the wall category. Both are available in a red body or white body with white flash.

The four part numbers now available are:

  • Apollo 55000-741 - Cat W. Loop Powered VAD (Red body, white flash) W-2.5-7
  • Apollo 55000-744 - Cat W. Loop Powered VAD (White body, white flash) W-2.5-7
  • Apollo 55000-742 - Cat C. Loop Powered VAD (Red body, white flash) C-3-8.5
  • Apollo 55000-745 - Cat C. Loop Powered VAD (White body, white flash) C-3-8.5

The new EN54-23 compliant VADs run on Apollo's existing XP95 and Discovery digital protocols. For ease of installation, these loop powered VADs are mounted on the ceiling and wall using Apollo's standard Intelligent Mounting Base.
